About David Gillespie

David has been playing guitar for well over 40 years. He has a Music Theory & Composition degree from Michigan State University and played professionally for several years following college. David plays electric and acoustic guitar in a variety of styles including rock, jazz, and blues. A lifelong student of the guitar and songwriting, lyric writing and composing, he has recorded and released two original albums as part of a duo named Davenport Rex (see iTunes/CDBaby/Spotify, etc). David also plays keyboard, ukulele, mandolin, and lap steel.
